Editing Prize-Winners and Bestsellers

For many years I was Vice President and Executive Editor at Random House, where I helped literary writers win prizes and become major bestsellers in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. I edited books that won or were nominated for nearly every major literary prize and more than twenty New York Times bestsellers.

In 2013 I became the first editor to edit the winners of the Pulitzer Prize in fiction and history in the same year. In 2015 I edited the winner of the National Book Award in fiction and the winner of the Pulitzer Prize in biography. I edited a 2016 National Book Award nominee in non-fiction and the winner of the 2017 PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction and Oprah’s Book Club 2017 selection.

Over the years I edited four Booker Prize nominees, five National Book Critics Circle Award finalists, and several other prize winners. At Random House I oversaw the posthumous publications of Truman Capote, Norman Mailer, and WG Sebald. I loved working with literary legends and discovering new voices. If you have a query about an editing project please contact me through the get in touch form.
